Biography
Hannah Rosenberg is an e-commerce developer, economist, educator and entrepreneur with a degree in Economics from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Hannah teaches Blockchain courses at both The Blockchain Institute and at UIC’s College of Business Administration. She is the founder of Velas Commerce, a cryptocurrency integration and consultancy business, she is the Managing Director The Blockchain Institute, and is the organizer of Chicago’s largest blockchain community group, the Chicago Bitcoin and Open Blockchain Meetup.

Bitcoin and Lightning for Commerce

Course Description

Attend this session to learn what the Lightning network is, why it exists, how it works, and various ways it can be used in commerce. This session will include a lightning demo on a testing e-commerce website. You will also be introduced to Lightning concepts and tools such as channel balancing, watchtowers, etc. We will also discuss a wide variety of tools that can be used to enable Lightning commerce, BTCPay Server, and Lightning point of sale systems.

 

A Basic Bitcoin understanding is a prerequisite.
