We’re excited to spotlight some of our BTC2019 teachers this year, and today, we’d like to introduce you to Shayan Eskandari. Shayan will be teaching “Smart Contract Security Auditing.” Check out our chat with Shayan to learn more:
How did you get involved in your subject area & why are you passionate about teaching it?
With a background in security, I got involved with Bitcoin back in 2011. As it was too good to be true, I tried to break it for 6 months until I had a light bulb moment and switched all my work toward building a better decentralized future. I completed my MSc on Bitcoin Usability and [have] continued working in this field ever since.
Why do you think certifications and standards are important in the blockchain industry today?
Same as [the] security industry, having certification and standards will result in weeding out the non-experts and will result in a safer and more regulated working space.
Why have you decided to teach a session at #BTC2019?
I’ve been following C4’s initiatives for awhile and Amber D. Scott suggested that I should apply, as BTC2019 is inline with my activities to standardize and build better educational material.
We’re looking forward to attending Shayan’s master class at BTC2019! Make sure to join us by getting your tickets here.
